Vice President Yemi Osinbajo who has
served as the acting president for a
better part of the year has said he has
no plans to run for president come
2019.
Osinbajo was on Monday at the
Financial Times Africa Summit where
he addressed the audience.
Asked by Reuters after the event if he
has plans to run for president in 2019,
Osinbajo said: “None of that is on the
cards”
He also discussed diversifying from an
oil-dependent economy, saying it is
important that Nigeria takes advantage
of the demand in oil while it is still
there.
