UNILAG Announces New Date For 2017 Post-UTME

The management of the University of Lagos (UNILAG) has announced a new date for the commencement of the 2017/2018 post United Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

A fortnight ago, the date for the entrance exam – which was earlier scheduled for September 18 to 22 – was postponed indefinitely due to the recently suspended strike by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU).

The postponement also came on the heels of the indefinite strike by the Joint Action Committee (JAC) of non-teaching staff of universities.

However, on Tuesday, the authorities of the institution, in a statement issued by Dr. Taiwo F. Ipaye, Registrar & Secretary to Council, fixed Wednesday 4th, October, for the commencement of the 2017/2018 post-UTME.

Ipaye also urged that candidates should generate new examination passes from Thursday 28th September, 2017 and come to the test venue with two coloured copies of the examination passes.

The circular reads, “The University Management has rescheduled 2017/2018 Post UTME Aptitude Test to hold from Wednesday 4th to Friday 6th October, 2017.”

“GSM phones and other personal belongings are not allowed in the test venues.”
