Gunmen besiege Owerri high court

Some unidentified gunmen, Thursday, stormed a high court sitting in Owerri, Imo state made away with notorious kidnapper, popularly called vampire.

It will be recalled that Vampir sometimes last year was arrested in company of his cohort and since then has been facing trial.

According to an eyewitness the armed men were at the court premises earlier today and strategically position themselves‎.

At the arrival of the prisons officials and the inmates to the court the already alerted and standing by 5man gang‎ opened fire, they shot sporadically to the point that security officials attached to the black maria conveying the inmates all fled.

The gang however made away with Vampire and two other inmates.

The public relations officer prisons, Imo state while confirming the incident, said six persons sustained bullets wounds of which one is very serious, he said they are currently receiving treatment at the hospital.

He however regrets the incident ‎and charge members of the public to be on the look out and ensure they report any suspicious move by anyone, He maintained that Vampire, just like his name implies is a very deadly creature and shouldn't not be allowed among members of the public, he recalled how vampire single handedly wiped out the entire lives of his girl friend and family members in Lagos before his initial arrest.
